Head of Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Manufacturing to lead our production operations in Durban. The role will drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and ensure the highest quality standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all manufacturing and production activities to meet operational targets.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Manage production planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
• Lead, mentor, and develop manufacturing teams and departmental managers.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance departments.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles.
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
