Head of Finance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to lead the financial strategy, operations, and compliance of our fast‑growing African iGaming business. Based in Cape Town, you will partner closely with the executive team to drive performance, governance, and scalable processes in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all finance functions including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury.
• Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and South African statutory requirements.
• Oversee country finance teams to ensure local compliance and reporting.
• Own financial planning, performance analysis and commercial decision support.
• Ensure full compliance with South African tax laws and gambling regulations.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Manage cash flow and working capital to support operational growth.
• Lead internal and external audits and resolve audit findings.
• Build and manage a high‑performing finance team in Cape Town.
• Act as primary liaison with auditors, banks, regulators and external advisors.
• Present financial insights and performance updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles.
• Experience in iGaming, fintech or other regulated industries is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African regulatory frameworks.
