Head of Business Development & Strategic Relationships

About the role

Our client is looking for a dynamic leader to drive commercial growth, forge strategic partnerships, and expand market presence within the ICT and asset finance sector. The role combines high‑level business development with executive relationship management and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national sales and business development strategy.
• Grow the rental finance portfolio, revenue, and profitability.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
• Lead commercial negotiations and design innovative finance solutions.
• Coach, manage and develop a high‑performing relationship‑management team.
• Set sales targets, monitor performance, and manage pipeline forecasting.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
• Oversee strategic accounts, identifying opportunities for increased customer value.
• Review complex finance transactions and provide commercial guidance.
• Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory and risk requirements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Prepare and present sales forecasts, commercial reports and portfolio updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years in a senior sales leadership role.
• Proven success leading high‑performing commercial teams.
• Experience in banking, leasing, asset finance or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualification advantageous.
