Head of Business Development – South Africa

About the role

Easygenerator is seeking a Head of Business Development to lead and scale its outbound sales function in South Africa. Based in the Cape Town office, you will translate global strategy into local execution, build a data‑driven sales culture and ensure operational excellence across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the performance of the Business Development function in South Africa, including activity, pipeline quality, conversion and revenue results.
• Coach and manage the BDR Team Lead and individual Business Development Representatives, using metrics, call insights and performance data.
• Set and enforce outbound quality standards, CRM hygiene and hand‑over processes aligned with global guidelines.
• Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews and feedback sessions, identifying and mitigating performance risks early.
• Lead by example in outbound sales, stepping into deals or coaching moments as needed.
• Partner with the Global Head of Business Development to localise processes and feed market insights into the global strategy.
• Drive hiring, onboarding and team‑building as the South Africa organisation grows.
• Act as the day‑to‑day liaison for the Cape Town office, coordinating operational support with the head office.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in a technology environment, with at least 3 years in a people‑management role.
• Strong commercial mindset and proven track record of revenue generation through outbound motion.
• Hands‑on outbound sales experience and credibility, comfortable coaching from the front.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• CRM systems (experience with maintaining data hygiene and pipeline management).
