Group Marketing & Communications Manager

About the role

Icebolethu Group is looking for a Group Marketing & Communications Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Based in Durban, this senior leader will shape and execute an integrated marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, lead generation and revenue growth across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all external communications, media relations and corporate messaging, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop, implement and continuously refine the Group’s marketing, communications and digital strategy at MANCO level.
• Provide strategic input, maintain brand consistency, governance and compliance across all platforms and regions.
• Prepare and present strategic reports for MANCO and EXCO.
• Source, appoint and manage specialist agencies for media buying, website development, creative services and crisis communication.
• Manage influencer and brand‑ambassador programmes, tracking budgets and deliverables.
• Oversee unit managers across Marketing & PR, Communications, Digital, Events Management and Stakeholder Relations.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in integrated marketing and communications.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and present to MANCO/EXCO.
• Strong track record in media relations, crisis management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams and external agency partners.
