Group Financial Manager (CA(SA))

About the role

A fast-paced business with an experienced financial leadership team is looking for an experienced Group Financial Manager to join its finance department, reporting directly to the Financial Director. The role sits within a finance function led by highly qualified financial executives and goes beyond traditional financial reporting, covering operations, ERP implementation, shared services oversight and group consolidations. It involves leading a team of 12 finance professionals and is fully office-based in Ormonde, Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a finance team of 12.
• Prepare the group's consolidated financial reporting pack.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS.
• Participate in ERP system implementation.
• Monitor and oversee shared services activities.
• Work closely with operational teams and senior financial executives.
• Support the Financial Director with group financial management responsibilities.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA(SA).
• Articles completed at a Big Four or mid-tier audit firm.
• At least three years of group reporting experience in FMCG, manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Experience in a demanding, deadline-driven financial environment.
• Ability to manage and lead a sizeable finance team.

Required skills

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and practical IFRS expertise.
• Group reporting and consolidation.
