Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead financial management, reporting and compliance for our technology‑driven business in Cape Town. The role partners with senior leadership to drive efficiency, operational excellence and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations and tax obligations.
• Coordinate external audit activities and liaise with auditors.
• Manage treasury functions, cash‑flow optimisation, budgeting and forecasting.
• Supervise payroll, VAT, PAYE and corporate income tax submissions.
• Drive ERP system enhancements, particularly SAP Business One, and support continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) or CIMA professional.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting and management within a project‑based environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, South African tax legislation and audit processes.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and collaborate with operational functions.
