Group Controller

About the role

The Group Controller will lead the consolidation and financial reporting for the entire group, ensuring full IFRS results are accurate, timely and compliant across all subsidiaries. This role supports executive decision‑making and shareholder reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes for the group.
• Manage full group consolidation, including inter‑company eliminations and adjustments.
• Prepare and present reporting packs with variance analysis and insights.
• Establish and maintain SOX‑compliant internal control frameworks.
• Conduct internal control reviews, track remediation actions and coordinate external audits.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, balance‑sheet reconciliations and approve journal entries.
• Ensure statutory, regulatory and tax compliance in all jurisdictions.
• Oversee payroll governance across subsidiaries.
• Drive process optimisation, support business cases and improve financial visibility for executives.

Required profile

• Accounting degree from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in group reporting or consolidation.
• Experience in multinational environments and exposure to US GAAP or full IFRS.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Preparation of financial statements under US GAAP or full IFRS.
• Strong knowledge of group consolidations.
