About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grain Procurer to join a growing maize milling company in a small town in the North West province. The role reports directly to the CEO and requires relocation to the head office.

Key responsibilities

Develop and execute grain procurement and pricing strategies.
Conduct market analysis and forecasting for maize and legumes.
Identify cost‑efficient sourcing opportunities.
Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
Handle SAFEX trading and associated risk management.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.
3 to 8 years of experience in the maize industry.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Proven experience with SAFEX trading and contract negotiations.

Required skills

Grain procurement expertise.
Market forecasting and analysis.
Supplier negotiation and contract management.
SAFEX trading and risk management.
