Graduate Unqualified Teacher – Multiple Subjects

About the role

This full‑time, long‑term position is designed for high‑achieving graduates who are about to complete their degree and wish to gain classroom experience before starting formal teacher training. Based in a high‑performing secondary school in Bexley, you will work across KS3 and KS4 in one of the listed subject areas.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons in your subject specialism to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Support pupils’ academic progress through small‑group interventions and targeted sessions.
• Assist with lesson preparation, marking, and assessment tasks.
• Develop classroom management and communication skills under the guidance of experienced teachers.
• Gain exposure to curriculum planning and broader school activities.

Required profile

• Graduating this year with a 2:1 degree or higher in Art, Economics, Computer Science, English, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Maths or a related subject.
• Strong academic ability and excellent communication skills.
• Genuine commitment to a teaching career and willingness to reflect on practice.
• Professional attitude and eagerness to learn; experience with young people is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Ability to deliver structured lessons and assess student work.
• Basic proficiency in using classroom technology and digital resources.
