About the role

Santam is offering a 24‑month Graduate Internship Programme for recent graduates in South Africa. The programme provides structured learning, mentorship and exposure to real business challenges within the short‑term insurance industry.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in business‑driven learning projects across selected functional areas.
• Gain practical workplace experience through rotations in commerce, finance, risk, IT, data science, engineering, HR, marketing or law.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on real‑world assignments.
• Contribute to risk and compliance assessments as part of project work.

Required profile

• Hold a degree (or diploma where specified) in a relevant field such as commerce, finance, risk, computer science, data science, engineering, law, human resources or marketing.
• Be a recent graduate eligible to work in South Africa.
• Demonstrate strong communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving.
• Digital fluency and ability to work with data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of programming or data analysis tools.
