Graduate Engineer – Test Jig Development

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our test engineering team. You will assist in designing and developing test jig hardware, firmware, and software to thoroughly verify SATCOM and aeronautical products. The role involves writing and maintaining automated test scripts using our in‑house test writing tool.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and develop test jigs, including hardware, firmware, and computer software.
• Produce supporting documentation required by the configuration department.
• Support production by maintaining new and existing test equipment.
• Write and maintain production and verification test scripts for complex aeronautical products.
• Follow formal software lifecycle and release processes, including use of Jenkins and batch tools.
• Debug production test failures and analyse test results using SQL and other diagnostic tools.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of digital, analog and RF functionality in complex hardware systems.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and report‑writing skills.
• Self‑driven attitude and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Programming/scripting: JavaScript, Python, VBScript, C, C++, Delphi.
• Firmware development platforms: Freescale, Atmel, Microchip.
• Electronic design knowledge: basic digital and analog electronics, schematic reading.
• Hardware description languages: VHDL, FPGA design.
• Signal processing basics: DSP familiarity.
• Database/query tools: SQL.
• Build and CI tools: Jenkins.
