German-Speaking Customer Support Agent (Retail Project)

About the role

A German-speaking Customer Support Agent is needed for an international retail customer service project based in Umhlanga, Durban. You will support German-speaking customers across several channels, helping them with retail and shopping matters so they have an excellent experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer queries in German by phone, email and live chat
• Help customers with orders, deliveries, returns and product information
• Resolve complaints and escalate complex cases when needed
• Maintain detailed records of interactions in internal systems
• Meet service quality, productivity and customer satisfaction targets
• Work with team members and supervisors to improve the customer experience

Required profile

• German at B2-C2 level, written and spoken
• Good English for internal communication
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification
• Customer service or call centre experience is an advantage; retail experience is a plus
• Comfortable with rotational shifts, including weekends if required

Required skills

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Basic computer skills and ability to use support systems
