About the role
Transnet is seeking permanent staff for a variety of operational roles at its Witbank facility in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Key responsibilities
- General Workers – perform general labour tasks, requiring Grade 9‑12 education and physical fitness.
- Drivers (Code 10 & 14) – operate vehicles with a valid licence and PDP, with at least one year of experience.
- Security Guards – maintain site security, requiring security training and physical fitness.
- Office Clerks – handle administrative duties, requiring Grade 12 education and computer skills.
- Engineers – provide technical support, requiring relevant engineering qualifications.
- Welders & Forklift Operators – carry out welding and material handling, requiring appropriate certifications.
Required profile
- Physically fit
- Grade 12 education (or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s licence with PDP (for drivers)
- Security training (for guards)
- Computer proficiency (for clerks)
- Relevant professional qualifications (for engineers)
- Certified in welding or forklift operation (for specialised roles)
