Customer Engineer – ATM Hardware Specialist

About the role

The Customer Engineer will install, repair and maintain ATMs and related devices across South Africa, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain ATM hardware and related equipment.
• Produce performance reports, apply modifications and handle multi‑vendor maintenance.
• Maintain day‑to‑day customer relationships, provide status updates and escalate issues as needed.
• Diagnose problems on‑site, own issues to resolution per SLA, and document call notes via mobile app.
• Travel within South Africa for service calls and be available on standby for weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent with a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of technical experience in ATM or related field.
• Proficient in English and computer literate.
• Valid South African driving licence (Code B/8).
• Strong communication, self‑driven and customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• ATM hardware installation and repair.
• Multi‑vendor maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
• CompTIA A+ certification (advantageous).
• Basic diagnostic techniques and NCR‑specific certification.
