About the role
The Institute for Theoretical Physics invites applications for a W3 Full Professorship. The successful candidate will lead cutting‑edge research that deepens our understanding of fundamental physical laws through modern theoretical methods.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced theoretical approaches, with a focus on modern quantum field theory.
- Explore connections between quantum field theory, gravity, and information theory.
- Collaborate with established research groups at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, the STRUCTURES Cluster of Excellence, and the Physics Department.
- Participate in the department’s teaching programme in theoretical physics at all academic levels.
Required profile
- Demonstrated leading international research profile in theoretical physics.
- Strong publication record in quantum field theory and related areas.
- Ability to integrate research with existing groups at the institute and cluster.
