Front Office Supervisor

About the role

The Front Office Supervisor will lead the front desk team at Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for guests throughout their stay. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in the lodge’s central hub within the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor front office staff, overseeing daily check‑in and check‑out operations.
• Manage reservations, room allocations, and coordinate group bookings and special events.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism.
• Monitor cash handling, billing procedures, and maintain accurate front office records.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and activities teams to ensure smooth lodge operations.
• Train new team members and ensure compliance with front office standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in hospitality, preferably in a lodge, resort or luxury hotel.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in a remote lodge environment.
• Relevant hospitality or tourism qualification or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with front office systems such as APEX and NEBULA.
• Experience in reservations management and switchboard handling.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
