Front Desk Receptionist – Lakeside Lodge

About the role

The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for guests at Jozini Tiger Lodge & Spa, a 4‑star lakeside retreat in Northern KwaZulu‑Natal. You will deliver exceptional customer service, manage reservations and ensure a smooth, memorable stay for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests, handle check‑in and check‑out, and provide information about lodge facilities.
• Manage room reservations, cancellations and modifications, keeping guest data accurate.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests and complaints, arranging special services such as restaurant bookings or transportation.
• Provide local attraction information, directions and assistance to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain confidential guest records, reservation logs and assist with billing and financial transactions.
• Handle phone calls, emails and in‑person queries, routing them to appropriate departments.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues with empathy.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team player who can coordinate effectively with other lodge departments.
