About the role
The Freight Forwarder will manage international freight bookings for DSV’s clients in Durban, handling all related administrative tasks and ensuring smooth shipment processes.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with clients via face‑to‑face, telephone, email and Teams.
- Own a dedicated desk and book shipments for clients.
- Liaise with origin offices, carriers and procurement teams.
- Manage IC billings and maintain accurate freight rate records.
- Interpret client rate cards and apply Incoterms correctly.
- File FMC documentation as required.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years experience in freight forwarding.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CargoWise.
- Advanced use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
