Freelance Talent Sourcer – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

This freelance opportunity is designed for talent professionals who excel at discovering and engaging exceptional candidates. Based in South Africa, you will work remotely to support a partner company’s hiring needs across multiple industries, building strong talent pipelines and driving hiring success.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and present qualified active and passive candidates using platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, X‑Ray search, GitHub, Stack Overflow, job boards and social media.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future recruitment needs.
• Conduct market mapping and talent research to spot hiring trends and relevant profiles.
• Evaluate candidate availability, motivation and fit, securing Right‑to‑Represent (RTR) authorizations before submission.
• Maintain accurate sourcing records and submit candidates through the designated partner portal.
• Screen candidates for technical fit and coordinate communication, including interview scheduling when required.

Required profile

• Proactive recruitment professional with strong sourcing abilities and a passion for finding top talent.
• Comfortable working independently, managing multiple searches and using creative sourcing approaches.
• Experience sourcing candidates across one or more industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
