Foreman

About the role

Sandvik is seeking an ambitious and motivated Foreman to join the Rock Processing team in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead screening media operators in the manufacturing of injection‑moulded and polyurethane open‑cast products, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise operators during the production of screening media, injection moulding, and polyurethane open‑cast components.
• Coordinate daily schedules, machine loading, and material availability to meet deadlines.
• Perform quality checks on finished products and related parts.
• Maintain equipment, report faults, and enforce health and safety standards.
• Coach operators on procedures, provide clear instructions, and resolve staff issues.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate with N3 Mechanical or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with injection moulding.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them.
• Ability to lead a team, communicate effectively with management, and maintain discipline on the shop floor.
