Food Service/FMCG/Hospitality Sales Representative

About the role

We are seeking a passionate, target‑driven Sales Representative to join a growing food service distributor in Johannesburg. You will work directly with restaurants, hotels, canteens and catering businesses, promoting a wide range of products from dry and frozen goods to cleaning materials and packaging solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and onboard new clients within the food service sector.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with existing customers to drive retention and growth.
• Conduct regular sales calls and site visits to present tailored product solutions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Stay up‑to‑date on the full product range and monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer preferences.
• Process orders and coordinate with warehouse and logistics to ensure seamless delivery.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and submit weekly/monthly sales reports.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) essential; diploma or degree in Sales, Business or related field advantageous.
• Proven sales track record in food service, hospitality or FMCG.
• Solid understanding of food service products (dry goods, frozen, packaging, cleaning materials).
• Experience selling to restaurants, hotels, canteens or similar environments.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable own vehicle.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and comfortable working independently in the field.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Skynamo or Repsly.
