Flutter Developer

About the role

Planet Fitness is expanding its Digital Technology and Transformation Team and is looking for a Flutter Developer to turn Figma designs into production‑ready code for the Planet Fitness mobile and web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimise Flutter code for iOS, Android and, where applicable, Flutter Web.
• Implement complex UI/UX designs, including animations, custom widgets and responsive layouts, in line with the design system.
• Translate Figma mock‑ups into Flutter, HTML, CSS and related front‑end languages.
• Extend the Flutter Web code‑base or integrate lightweight web frameworks for admin and reporting interfaces.
• Ensure seamless data flow with back‑end services via FastAPI, GraphQL and PostgreSQL.
• Develop custom front‑end components for the Planet Fitness website built on WordPress.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager, UX/UI designer and back‑end developers in Agile sprint cycles.
• Write and maintain unit, widget and integration tests; monitor performance metrics and optimise memory, startup time and build size.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience delivering production Flutter applications (mobile and/or web).
• Degree or diploma in Information Technology or equivalent; Grade 12 minimum.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, scale‑up environment.
