Financial Planner – Richards Bay & Surrounding Areas

About the role

The Financial Planner will provide professional financial advice, planning and suitable products to new and existing clients in Richards Bay and surrounding areas, while building long‑term relationships that reinforce the Sanlam brand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide new and existing clients with professional financial advice, planning and suitable products.
• Generate sustainable business by meeting revenue and activity targets and promoting the Sanlam brand.
• Network, prospect and generate leads through face‑to‑face interactions, social media and existing client base.
• Conduct comprehensive fact‑finding, financial needs analysis and present balanced financial solutions in compliance with Treating Customers Fairly.
• Maintain ethical, courteous client service and pursue continuous learning to support long‑term relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements met and Regulatory Examination successfully completed.
• Registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for at least 24 months.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial advice, compliance, risk management and client relationship management.
• Strong communication, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
