Financial Manager (Solar Industry)

About the role

The Financial Manager will lead the finance function for Jelocorp's distribution business within the solar sector. Reporting to the CEO and CFO, you will ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and effective cash‑flow management while supporting strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, month‑end and year‑end close, and preparation of management accounts and statutory statements.
• Lead the annual budgeting cycle, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and working‑capital components such as receivables, payables, and inventory valuation.
• Analyse product costing, landed costs, gross margins and profitability, and provide financial support to procurement and commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation and statutory requirements; coordinate external audits.
• Develop and maintain financial controls, risk‑management processes, and finance policies.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, driving continuous improvement of ERP processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA or CPA.
• Minimum five years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within distribution or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
