Financial Management & Taxation Lecturer

About the role

The Moonstone Business School of Excellence is seeking a full‑time lecturer for its BCom Financial Management programme. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality online and face‑to‑face teaching in financial management and taxation, support students, and contribute to continuous improvement of the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement semester‑based teaching activities.
• Maintain and update study material, assessment tools and wrap‑around guides.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials and assessments in financial management and taxation.
• Provide timely support to student queries and manage student communication.
• Perform internal moderation of assessment instruments and ensure compliance with MBSE standards.
• Collaborate with internal staff, external subject‑matter experts and accreditation bodies.

Required profile

• Financial Management (or similar) qualification at NQF 8.
• Relevant professional designation such as CA(SA), ACMA or CGMA preferred.
• At least 2 years experience in financial management, cost accounting or taxation.
• At least 2 years experience in higher education or a comparable training environment.
