Financial Controller (Senior Finance Leader)

About the role

We are seeking a senior finance leader to oversee end‑to‑end financial operations for a well‑established, stable entity that is building a younger management team. The Financial Controller will partner with executive stakeholders to translate financial insights into strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and revenue recognition.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee cash‑flow management, working capital optimisation and banking relationships.
• Consolidate budgets, monitor performance against forecasts and produce executive‑level reporting packs.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies and compliance frameworks.
• Supervise tax compliance, statutory filings and audit processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and business performance.

Required profile

• Professional finance certification (e.g., CA) and 5‑10+ years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting leadership.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and solid understanding of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with financial automation tools or AI‑enabled finance platforms (advantageous).
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership capabilities.
