Financial Controller (Remote, US Hours)

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Financial Controller to manage day‑to‑day accounting across multiple entities. The role is fully remote, operates on US Central Time, and combines hands‑on bookkeeping with strategic financial partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting operations in Sage Intacct for several entities.
• Process and review expense data from Fyle, ensuring correct coding and approvals.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and intercompany activity.
• Lead monthly close activities: reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare recurring reports such as liquidity summaries, NAV, and ad‑hoc analyses for leadership.
• Document and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
• Support system optimization and future enhancements beyond Sage Intacct.
• Collaborate with US‑based executives, communicate risks, and provide recommendations.
• Assist with audits, internal reviews, and special financial projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience with progressive controller‑level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and multi‑entity, multi‑dimensional reporting.
• Proven ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

• Sage Intacct
• Fyle (or similar expense platform)
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data validation, reconciliations)
• US GAAP
