Financial Controller (Remote Contract)

About the role

FoundersIQ is seeking a remote Financial Controller on a contract basis, with the potential to transition to a full‑time position. You will partner with startups, venture capital firms, and established companies to deliver high‑impact financial insights and ensure robust financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Provide actionable financial insights that drive business growth.
• Collaborate with clients to scale financial solutions as they grow.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Financial Controller (excluding pure accounting roles).
• Strong background in US GAAP and experience working with startups or fast‑paced environments.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred); CPA, CA, or similar certification is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and remotely.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
