Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead E‑XHALE’s internal finance function, acting as the primary liaison with the external accounting firm and overseeing a team of four bookkeepers. Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior position combines operational finance management with strategic systems development.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the third‑party accounting firm, ensuring timely delivery of data, coordinating year‑end audits and statutory submissions.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of four bookkeepers, allocating tasks across AP, AR, payroll and reconciliations.
• Own the month‑end close, produce accurate management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts, budgets and variance analysis for senior leadership.
• Monitor financial performance against targets, flag risks and opportunities, and maintain robust internal controls.
• Assess and improve financial systems and processes, driving automation and efficiency.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven experience in managing end‑to‑end accounting operations.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, capable of developing a high‑performance finance team.
• Excellent analytical abilities and a commercial mindset to translate data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership and drive continuous improvement.
