Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a qualified CA(SA) who wants to move beyond traditional number‑crunching and become a commercial partner in a construction‑focused environment. You will own the financial function for a project‑driven business, influencing budgets, cash flow, cost control and profitability while working closely with engineers, quantity surveyors and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Full financial management and reporting across the business and its projects.
• Project costing, profitability analysis and cost‑control monitoring.
• Preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts and financial models.
• Cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital management and variance analysis.
• Providing commercial financial advice to senior management and project teams.
• Ensuring strong financial controls, governance and B‑BBEE compliance.
• Travel to project sites to understand operational performance.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) with strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis experience.
• Previous experience in building, construction, engineering or other project‑based environments.
• Familiarity with B‑BBEE verification and compliance requirements.
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable collaborating with technical and operational teams.

What we offer

• Highly negotiable salary ranging from R75 000 to R100 000 per month.
