Financial Consultant (Tzaneen)

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a motivated Financial Consultant to join its team in Tzaneen. You will provide advice on a range of financial products to an allocated market, building relationships and delivering results through proactive customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver standard customer service and handle routine inquiries.
• Assess compliance with internal standards for routine queries.
• Receive and assist visitors, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system and record follow‑up actions.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify needs.
• Prospect and develop relationships with allocated potential customers via phone or in‑person visits.
• Follow mandatory procedures to ensure operational compliance and quality standards.
• Support routine business development tasks and follow established processes.
• Identify sales opportunities by gathering referrals and recommendations.
• Extract and input relevant data into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Participate in networking activities both inside and outside the company.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 4 – Grade 12, School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong customer‑focused attitude with the ability to follow scripts and procedures.
• Accountability for achieving sales results and meeting compliance standards.
