Financial Consultant (Tembisa Birch Acres Mall)

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring an OMF Financial Consultant based at Tembisa Birch Acres Mall in Kempton Park. The consultant advises clients on a defined range of products for a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: handle simple customer inquiries, assess compliance with standards and protocols, receive visitors and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• CRM data: keep basic customer details accurate and record follow-up actions and notes from each sales call.
• Clarify customer needs using a multilevel sales script, then prospect potential customers by phone or in person and act as first point of contact for queries and complaints.
• Business development: carry out routine support tasks, identify potential customers from information, referrals and recommendations, select and enter data into spreadsheets, and contribute to a network of people, technologies and ideas inside and outside the company.
• Operational compliance: follow mandatory procedures and adhere to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.

Required profile

• NQF Level 4 qualification, Grade 12 school leaving certificate, National or Occupational Certificate or equivalent.
• Competencies such as stakeholder balancing, building networks, effective communication, accountability, trust-building and managing complexity.
