Financial Advisor – Westville, Durban

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Financial Advisor to join our team in Durban. The role focuses on identifying clients’ insurance needs and delivering tailored solutions that protect individuals, families and businesses against financial risks.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business through networking, referrals, cold calling and marketing activities.
• Conduct comprehensive needs analyses and present appropriate insurance products.
• Prepare quotations, policy proposals and negotiate to close sales, meeting monthly and annual targets.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, providing policy reviews, amendments, renewals and upgrades.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handling enquiries and supporting claim processes.
• Complete accurate insurance applications, maintain detailed client records and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry regulations, product knowledge and ethical selling practices.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent; Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or related field preferred.
• Relevant insurance qualifications and regulatory accreditation as required in South Africa.
• 1–5 years’ experience in insurance sales or financial services.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of life, funeral, medical, disability, income protection, vehicle, homeowners, contents, business, commercial, investment‑linked, retirement and savings insurance products.
