Financial Advisor – Personal Banking

About the role

Join a trusted financial services leader and help clients achieve their financial goals through professional, goal‑based advice. As a Personal Financial Advisor you will work within the FNB branch network, leveraging the brand, client ecosystem and digital tools to deliver holistic investment and life‑insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses and develop personalised financial plans.
• Recommend appropriate investment, insurance and wealth solutions aligned to client objectives and risk profiles.
• Engage customers within FNB branches to build advice‑driven relationships and convert qualified opportunities into new business.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships through ongoing engagement, financial reviews and accurate record‑keeping.
• Achieve agreed sales, activity, Assets Under Management (AUM) and Annual Premium Income (API) targets while adhering to FAIS and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of financial advisory experience with a proven track record of sales and business growth.
• Experience selling risk and investment products in a bank, insurer or tied‑advisory environment.
• Exposure to mass‑market or emerging‑affluent client segments.
• FAIS qualification (NQF Level 5 or higher) and completed Regulatory Examination (RE5), fully Fit & Proper compliant.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of investment and insurance products.
• Consultative selling and lead conversion capability.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Understanding of FAIS compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Digital proficiency to leverage technology‑enabled advice tools.
