Financial Advisor

About the role

As a Financial Advisor you will empower clients in Johannesburg to achieve their long‑term financial goals. You will provide tailored advice, manage investments and guide customers through a comprehensive six‑step planning process, all while representing Old Mutual’s trusted brand.

Key responsibilities

• Build lasting client relationships through prospecting, networking and referrals.
• Conduct in‑depth financial needs analyses and recommend appropriate Old Mutual products.
• Become accredited in Old Mutual Personal Financial Advice products to serve your client segment.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, financial services laws and FAIS regulations.
• Deliver life‑changing financial advice using the proven six‑step planning methodology.
• Monitor economic, political and regulatory trends to provide up‑to‑date guidance.
• Maintain CPD points and stay current with regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Matric certificate / Grade 12.
• At least 18 months experience in financial services (sales, client service or advisory).
• Regulatory Examination (RE5) completed or in progress, with CPD.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
