Financial Administrator

About the role

Pepkor Lifestyle is recruiting a Financial Administrator within its Group Finance Operations department in Sandton, Gauteng. This is a permanent position suited to candidates with finance administration and banking experience. The role centres on payment verification, reconciliations, financial reporting and resolving payment queries. Salary details are not disclosed.

Key responsibilities

• Verify direct deposit payments across company entities
• Update payment records and confirm transactions with stores
• Process financial journals and resolve payment queries
• Manage month-end clearing activities
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations by the 13th working day
• Investigate discrepancies, refunds and unidentified deposits
• Respond to finance-related email enquiries
• Support the wider Finance Department

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Diploma in Finance, Communications or a related field
• At least 1 year of banking experience
• Proven finance administration experience
• Ability to meet strict monthly reconciliation deadlines and keep accurate financial records

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication
• Problem-solving, multitasking and attention to detail
• Advantageous: SAP experience, strong customer service and query-handling, knowledge of financial reconciliations
