Financial Admin Manager

About the role

Mediclinic Morningside is recruiting a Financial Admin Manager for a permanent, on-site position in Johannesburg. The role manages the financial department and all related processes so that hospital revenue and expenses are managed effectively, and oversees the quality of outcomes of the supportive services departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the financial department and all related processes
• Oversee the quality of outcomes of the supportive services departments
• Financial and cost management
• Operational procurement and stock management
• Asset management
• Contract and supportive services management
• Risk management
• Lead and manage the team

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in finance, business or accounting; a financial management degree/diploma is desired
• 5 years of financial experience; 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory position is desired
• 5 years of financial administration manager experience in the hospital/healthcare industry is desired
• Preference given according to the Employment Equity Plan, as well as to internal applicants who meet the minimum requirements

Required skills

• Financial and cost management, including financial statement interpretation, budgeting, financial planning, cost analysis and ROI
• Cost control, including petty cash
• SAP (procurement and creditor processes)
• Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
• Contract and SLA management
• Knowledge of relevant statutory and legislative guidelines
