Financial Accountant – Transformation & B‑BBEE Focus

About the role

This full‑time position is based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and combines core financial accounting duties with a strong emphasis on transformation, B‑BBEE reporting, and procurement governance. The role reports directly to senior leadership and supports the investment group’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the B‑BBEE scorecard, track compliance with FSC/DTI codes, and present transformation reporting to EXCO and trustees.
• Prepare annual financial statements, budgets, reconciliations, tax submissions, and manage accounting for trusts and SPVs.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, B‑BBEE vetting, maintain vendor master data, and analyse procurement spend to strengthen the scorecard.
• Manage commission sharing agreements, reconciliations, reporting packs, and support liquidity and allocation tracking.

Required profile

• BCom or Business Science degree with a finance focus.
• 3–6 years of proven financial accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience managing a B‑BBEE scorecard.
• Exposure to procurement governance and vendor onboarding processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and confidence presenting to senior leadership.
• Genuine passion for transformation and social upliftment.
