Financial Accountant – Property Development & Construction

About the role
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our dynamic property development and construction team. The successful candidate will support the finance function by preparing monthly accounts, handling tax submissions and assisting with audit processes, while gaining exposure to a fast‑moving environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports.
- Process journals and perform account reconciliations.
- Maintain debtor and creditor ledgers.
- Support VAT, tax and statutory submissions.
- Prepare audit files, working papers and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to month‑end and year‑end closing activities under supervision.
Required profile
- BCom degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting or a related qualification.
- Minimum three years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous).
- Familiarity with South African VAT legislation.
Required skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Experience using Pastel Partner or Pastel Evolution.
- Knowledge of CaseWare (advantageous).
