Financial Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a leading manufacturer in Blackheath, Cape Town to find a Financial Accountant who will own cost accounting, stock reconciliations and inventory valuation. The role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work closely with production, procurement and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handle cost accounting, stock reconciliations and inventory valuation.
• Support production teams with budgeting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Review purchase orders and supplier invoices for accuracy.
• Identify and recommend cost‑saving opportunities on the plant floor.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse and operations to ensure seamless financial processes.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management principles.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using an ERP or accounting system.
