Financial Accountant – Cape Town

About the role

SIAAC Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join its Cape Town team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work on‑site in a fast‑moving manufacturing, distribution and renewable energy supply‑chain environment, ensuring accurate financial records and strong controls across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly accounting records for several small entities.
• Perform monthly bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany sales and purchase transactions.
• Ensure correct financial treatment of manufacturing and distribution processes.
• Oversee financial management within the entities in scope.
• Support month‑end and year‑end reporting.
• Assist with management reporting and financial analysis.
• Support tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Help strengthen financial controls and improve internal finance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent finance qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of professional finance experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
• South African citizenship (no sponsorship available).
• Fluency in English; French language ability is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Sage.
• Working knowledge of Acumatica.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of South African tax laws.
