Finance Manager: Supply Chain and Operations

About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute CA(SA) to lead the financial performance of our supply chain and operations function. The Finance Manager will turn complex financial and supply‑chain data into actionable insights that drive stronger operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow and expense analysis.
• Own the balance sheet, profit & loss statement and technical accounting requirements.
• Oversee stock accounting, goods in transit, purchase orders, usage variances and Bill of Materials integrity.
• Monitor demurrage, port costs, GRNI, working capital and capital expenditure.
• Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, business plans and cost‑optimisation recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures, audit requirements, legislation and contract controls.
• Collaborate closely with finance, supply‑chain and operational stakeholders across the business.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification.
• Six to ten years of finance experience in manufacturing, mining or pharmaceutical environments.
• At least three years of management experience.
• Strong financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and risk‑management capabilities.
• Sound understanding of supply‑chain finance, treasury, financial accounting, foreign exchange and commodity markets.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or AX.
• Proficiency with QlikView.
• Proficiency with TM1.
• Proficiency with Power BI.
