Finance Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of our UK‑based clients while working remotely from South Africa. You will collaborate with senior leadership, oversee a finance team and ensure compliance with UK reporting standards during UK business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial activities including accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and variance analyses.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and support quarterly re‑forecasting cycles.
• Develop and supervise the finance team to meet accuracy and deadline targets.
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP, VAT reporting, tax obligations and internal controls.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial planning, investment decisions and cost management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in finance management or as a financial controller.
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CA(SA)).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP and VAT reporting requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or NetSuite.
• Experience applying IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
• VAT reporting expertise.
