Finance Manager – Projects & Africa

About the role

MANE, a French family‑owned leader in flavor and fragrance, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee project finance and African operations from its Cape Town office. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting, financial reporting, and project finance management across multiple subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily and month‑end accounting for project P&L and balance‑sheet activities.
• Ensure financial integrity and performance monitoring for affiliates and divisions.
• Oversee financial controls, costing, and reporting in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Handle statutory returns, VAT, tax compliance and intercompany reconciliations.
• Lead group reporting timelines and deliver accurate budgets, variance analyses and statutory reports.
• Monitor working‑capital structure, key ratios and trends.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting, CAPEX budgeting, ROI calculations and asset disposals.
• Provide audit schedules and support internal and external audits.
• Act as ERP key user (SAP/Optima) for subsidiaries, improve SOPs and support master‑data changes.
• Define project scope, budgets, track costs, and report progress to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance and accounting, preferably with experience in multinational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month‑end, year‑end closes and statutory reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems and leading finance teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
