Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute Finance Manager with strong manufacturing experience to lead management accounting, costing, financial reporting, and business intelligence. The role partners directly with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions and drive performance through insightful financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial management, reporting, and preparation of accurate management accounts.
• Conduct management accounting, financial analysis, and provide insights to support business performance.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial liquidity.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop the finance function and lead the finance team.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes, systems, and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with the Managing Director and senior team to provide commercially focused financial guidance.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years post‑graduate finance/accounting experience.
• 2‑3 years in a senior accounting or finance management role within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Proven experience in standard costing, Bills of Materials, product costing and margin analysis.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Experience with inventory management and stock reporting in a manufacturing setting.

• Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation
• ERP systems experience, preferably Syspro
