About the role
The Finance Manager will lead budgeting and financial management for the corporate services area within Discovery Central Services. Reporting to senior leadership, the role works closely with internal stakeholders to deliver sound financial solutions across shared services such as commissions, procurement, fleet, training, hospitality and events.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the end‑to‑end budgeting process for corporate services.
- Collate data and process monthly journals and reconciliations.
- Compile cost‑centre specific reports and monthly management accounts.
- Assist internal and external auditors, responding to queries and preparing audit documentation.
- Produce variance analysis, rolling forecasts and management reporting.
- Authorize purchase orders using Sage and generate ad‑hoc financial reports as required.
Required profile
- Qualified CA(SA) designation.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance shared‑services environment.
- Proven experience as a finance manager within the financial services sector.
Required skills
- Sage accounting software.
