Finance Business Partner - Senior Manager

About the role

As Finance Business Partner: Senior Manager, you will be a strategic finance leader driving financial excellence and business growth across Deloitte's Africa Service Area. You act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, turning complex financial insights into business intelligence that shapes strategic decisions. The role sits within Deloitte's Internal Clients Services, covering Africa Consulting Services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial intelligence and strategic insights to the Service Area Leader and Lead Finance Business Partner, advise on emerging challenges, and bridge business objectives with finance priorities.
• Lead the Service Area Project Services and General Accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely reporting, consolidate results across Africa, and oversee a high-performing accounting team.
• Analyse monthly results, review income statements and KPIs such as utilisation rates and revenue per fee earner, prepare bespoke reports and interrogate working capital and debtors.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting, cascade Service Line targets, and run cost reduction and profitability initiatives.
• Implement Controllership and Shared Service Centre initiatives, and build Project Services and General Accounting frameworks and policies.
• Recruit, mentor and coach team members, maintain succession plans, and build stakeholder relationships across the Service Area.
• Contribute to Finance-wide projects and ensure month-end and reporting deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in professional services, with a track record in strategic finance leadership and team management.
• Preferred: professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), Big Four or similar matrix organisation experience, exposure to finance transformation or shared service centres, and experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
