Field Visual Merchandise Manager

About the role

The Field Visual Merchandise Manager oversees visual merchandising strategy and execution for the Fix Marketing department, managing a portfolio of 50 stores including flagship locations. The role partners with Area Sales Managers, trains store teams, controls VM assets and supports store openings, closures and special events to uphold brand standards and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coach visual merchandisers at store and area level, and lead training programmes for area managers and store teams
• Manage the store matrix, coordinating visual standards for openings, closures and seasonal updates across 50 stores
• Oversee VM asset inventory, allocation and lifecycle management
• Work with Area Sales Managers on merchandising decisions after contribution analysis
• Conduct weekly flagship visits and regular seasonal store audits, and analyse Yoobic missions and production runs
• Sign off on execution accuracy and provide reports to senior leadership on visual merchandising performance
• Run ad-hoc projects such as event setups, merchandise principle tests and store-visit feedback to Operations

Required profile

• Grade 12 / matric minimum; qualification in Fashion, Retail Management or Business advantageous
• At least 4 years of field visual merchandising experience and 3 years of visual management experience
• Fashion retail experience
• Valid driver's licence
• Preference given to candidates from designated groups under the Employment Equity Act

Required skills

• Computer literacy in Outlook and Microsoft Office
• Excellent planning, communication and persuasion skills in English
• Sound business acumen
