Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs cutting‑edge smart home technology and helps customers upgrade to enhanced security and automation solutions. You’ll work directly with homeowners, delivering a seamless experience from installation to education.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems in residential settings.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades, driving consultative sales.
• Educate homeowners on system operation to ensure confidence and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, sales, and service calls.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.

Required profile

• Strong sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Technical aptitude – background in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to pass background and licensing checks.
